The finest aspects of Finland’s national game – in the heart of the city
In Tampere, both men’s and women’s Superpesis games, as well as the annual Itä–Länsi event, are played at the baseball stadium located in Kauppi Sports Park. The stadium also serves as a ski arena in winter, with the stands used during national competitions such as the Finnish Championships.
In June 2022, Piiroinen delivered the 2,500-seat grandstand for the newly completed baseball stadium. The covered seating brings spectators close to the field, while the refreshment stand ensures a lively atmosphere. The beautiful forest backdrop behind the outfield highlights the best of Finland’s national sport — right in the middle of the largest inland city in the Nordics.
“It was a privilege to take part in building one of Finland’s finest baseball stadiums. Despite the tight schedule, we managed to deliver high-quality outdoor seats right on time.”
Tomi Pöllänen
Business Director, Piiroinen

Environmentally friendly seating
The grandstand was fitted with Piiroinen Olympia seats — an eco-friendly outdoor spectator seat made from wood composite. Produced from recycled thermo-wood fibres, the composite has a naturally warm feel and a low carbon footprint.
The seat is durable and easy to maintain, with colours customisable to suit the space and client’s preferences. The foldable seat design also makes movement and cleaning effortless.
